Paul DeAngelo, Sr. co-founded DBi Services in 1978. Through decades of hard work with an unyielding commitment to provide quality service and customer satisfaction, he grew a small residential / commercial maintenance company working for a few friends and neighbors into a global leader in infrastructure operations and maintenance. In 40+ years building DBi Services, Paul led his team in 20+ acquisitions. In 2016 his family sold the business to a private equity firm. Through founding Seven Isles Capital, Paul continues his entrepreneurial spirit and stays engaged in the business and industry communities, where he sits on many company and industry boards of directors. He is relentless in his pursuit of helping others become successful, and instills passion, hard work, and family in the culture of Seven Isles Capital and the companies it invests in.
After graduating from Wilkes University with a bachelor’s degree in political science (concentration in international business), Paul Jr. joined DBi Services as the Director of Strategic Business Development focused on corporate strategy and growth. Paul Jr. supported the majority sale of DBi Services to a private equity firm in 2016. He then took on the role of Vice President of Growth, helping take the company from $250 million in sales to over $500 million through organic and acquisition growth. In 2017, Paul Jr., alongside his father, founded Seven Isles Capital. In 2020, Paul Jr. transitioned from DBi Services to focusing full-time on investing through Seven Isles Capital and is CEO of Mission Autism Clinics, one of its portfolio companies.
Jarrod DeAngelo is a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in the infrastructure operations and maintenance industry and serves as the President of DeAngelo Contacting Services (DCS). Jarrod started in field operations and through dedication and hard work earned his current role. In addition to being President of DCS, Jarrod is involved in Seven Isles Capital, actively managing its real estate holdings and reviewing and approving our investments. In Jarrod’s personal time he serves as the compassionate President of Hazleton Area Recreation Program (HARP). Throughout his journey, Jarrod has always prioritized the values of safety, family, and employee development, viewing these as core to any successful organization.
Danny Berz joined Seven Isles Capital as a Chief Investment Officer in 2019, and is responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing investments. Prior to Seven Isles Capital, Danny was the Director of Strategic Projects for DBi Services, focused on partnering with senior management to develop and implement the growth strategy, evaluate and integrate acquisitions, and execute special projects. Prior to DBi Services, he was an investment banker and management consultant. Danny has a B.S. in Finance, with honors, from the University of Illinois, where he was an Evans Scholar. He also earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Danny serves as a Director of the WGA Evans Scholars Foundation.
Bruno Aloisio joined Seven Isles Capital as Vice President, Private Investments in 2021, and is responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing investments. Prior to Seven Isles Capital, Bruno was a Senior Associate at Centre Lane Partners, a New York-based private equity firm with $2+ billion of assets under management, where he worked in various operating capacities including interim CFO of a $100 million revenue foodservice distribution business and a $75 million revenue lawn and garden CPG business. Prior to Centre Lane Partners, Bruno was a Director at FTI Consulting in the corporate finance and restructuring practice. He started his career in investment banking as an Analyst at Canaccord Genuity. Bruno has a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and value investing from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, where he graduated with honors, and is a member of the Omicron Delta Epsilon honor society for economics.
Andrew Kamhi joined Seven Isles Capital as Senior Associate, Private Investments in 2023 and is responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing investments. Before joining Seven Isles Capital, Andrew co-founded Sardel, a premium consumer goods company specializing in high-quality kitchen and pantry essentials. At Sardel, Andrew served as the CFO and successfully oversaw the financial and operational management of the business. In recognition of his experience at Sardel and his contributions to the industry, Andrew was named Forbes 30 Under 30 for Retail and E-commerce. Prior to Sardel, Andrew started his career in investment banking at TM Capital, where he supported all aspects of M&A transactions across several industries. Andrew has a BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
Ambria Armstrong joined Seven Isles Capital as General Counsel in 2024 and is responsible for providing a variety of legal and transactional services for both Seven Isles Capital and its investments, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts and leases, financing and investment transactions, corporate governance matters, and general business matters. Prior to Seven Isles Capital, at her prior law firm, Ambria served a variety of clients and industries as M&A counsel for sellers, buyers, and investors, and as outside general counsel to a number of family-owned, local and national businesses and investors. Ambria first began working with the DeAngelo family in 2017 as outside counsel. She received her J.D. from the College of William and Mary School of Law and her B.A. from the University of South Carolina. A Pennsylvania native, Ambria enjoys hiking, rock climbing, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
Jim Faust joined Seven Isles Capital as IT Director in 2020 and is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of information systems and network infrastructure. Prior to Seven Isles Capital, Jim was the Vice President of Information Technology for DBi Services, overseeing the development and growth of a global network supporting over 2,500 users. Prior to DBi Services, he was the owner of Insight Computer Consulting, and also held management positions in IT management, programming, and finance.
Ellen Brennan joined Seven Isles Capital in 2021, and is responsible for developing marketing campaigns for its portfolio companies. Prior to Seven Isles Capital, Ellen was a Marketing Specialist for DBi Services where she led a company-wide rebrand. Ellen has a B.A. in Graphic Design from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. She is an avid volunteer for numerous non-profits in the community where she lives.
Brenda Swank joined Seven Isles Capital as the Executive Assistant in September of 2021, and is responsible for providing administrative support to the DeAngelo Family as well as the Seven Isles Capital team. Prior to Seven Isles Capital, Brenda was the Senior Executive Assistant for DBi Services for 21 years, working with Paul, as well as the Executive Team in place after the sale of the business to a private equity firm.
Dan Drexler is Executive Vice President of Longview Asset Management LLC, a multi-strategy investment firm that is the in-house investment arm for the Crown family of Chicago. Dan is responsible for analyzing public investments and directing the portfolio team. Dan is a former Board Member and Director of Operations for Quality Products, Inc., a privately controlled industrial holding company that grew from $12 million to $50 million during his tenure as its major shareholder. He serves on the Board of Directors of Albany Bank & Trust in Albany Park, IL, one of Chicago’s largest community banks, and the Advisory Boards of RF Investment Partners, May River Capital, Right Lane Capital, and Arbor Lodging Partners. Dan formerly sat on the Advisory Boards of Madison Capital Partners, Hadley Capital, and Fort Point Capital. He is active in a number of charitable and civic organizations including FIDF, Hillel of Wisconsin, Invest for Kids, and the Jewish United Fund of Chicago. Dan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a BA in accounting. He is married with three children and resides in Highland Park, IL.
